After receiving his BA in Art in 2017 from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Isaac Wood set out to explore, practice, and evolve his artistic vision. Wood’s work tends to study emotional narratives through a lens of abstraction with elements of queer magic and history found throughout. Wood considers himself a paper and ink enthusiast and is often found working in print, collage, drawing, and, more recently, digital.
“My work tends to follow themes of sexuality, identity, history, and mythology, allowing me to expand my knowledge of each subject through personal experience and research. They allow me to acknowledge where I stand on current events, observe the changes of each theme with their relation to our society, and be vulnerable by sharing my work. It is my goal to reach at least one person, to give them a moment of contemplation, a moment to say I see you.”
